Mylan Receives Approval for Tamoxifen Citrate TabletsPITTSBURGH, Feb 21, 2003 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Mylan Laboratories Inc. (NYSE:MYL) announced today that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has approved its Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) for Tamoxifen Citrate Tablets USP, 10 mg and 20 mg.

Tamoxifen Citrate is the generic version of AstraZeneca's Nolvadex®, which is indicated for the treatment of metastatic breast cancer.

Mylan will manufacture the product in its Puerto Rico facility and will launch the product immediately.
