Mylan Receives Approval for Tizanidine Hydrochloride TabletsPITTSBURGH--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 1, 2003--Mylan Laboratories Inc. (NYSE:MYL) announced today that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has approved its Abbreviated New Drug Application for Tizanidine Hydrochloride Tablets, 2mg and 4 mg.

Tizanidine Hydrochloride is the generic version of Elan Corporation's Zanaflex®, which is a short-acting drug indicated for the management of spasticity.

Mylan will manufacture this product in its Morgantown, West Virginia facility.
