(NYSE:MYL) announced today that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has granted final approval for its Abbreviated New Drug Application for Mirtazapine Tablets in 15 mg, 30 mg and 45 mg strengths. Mirtazapine is the generic version of Organon Inc.'s, Remeron^®, which is indicated for the treatment of major depressive disorder.

Mylan will be launching Mirtazapine immediately.
