Mylan Establishes the Mylan Laboratories Charitable FoundationPITTSBURGH, Pa., May 7, 2002 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Mylan Laboratories Inc. (NYSE:MYL) today announced that it has established the Mylan Laboratories Charitable Foundation, a 501^©(3) non-profit organization dedicated to providing support through grants to other qualified charitable organizations.

Mylan established the foundation with a contribution of $5 million. The Foundation will function as a separate organization and will be administered by its own Board of Trustees.

The Foundation's mission is to foster support to recipients who operate in health and welfare, education, culture and the arts.
